1 Bacaleg From The United Nations Dies, NTB KPU Postpones Today's Plenary Meeting Of DCT

The General Election Commission (KPU) of West Nusa Tenggara said that one prospective legislative candidate from the Crescent Star Party (PBB) died ahead of the determination of the Permanent Candidate List (DCT). "We received this information after receiving a report from the NTB UN DPW that one Babileg from the Crescent Star Party (PBB) on behalf of Andri for the VIII electoral district (the southern Central Lombok Regency) who died on Thursday night," said KPU NTB Commissioner Zuriyati in Mataram, Antara, Friday, November 3. With the death of balaleg, the schedule for the DCT plenary meeting, which on Friday today at around 11.00 WITA, had to be postponed. "This postponement is for us to verify the certainty of information submitted by the Chairman of the NTB UN DPW regarding one person reading their leg with the name Andri number four who died before the DCT plenary session. There, we have to check the truth with the Central Lombok KPU to the Village Head directly today," he said. According to him, the data validation process for reports of the deaths of the legislators is allowed before the DCT plenary session is held. However, political parties cannot make replacements for the legislators who died. "Earlier, they (PBB) wanted the KPU's discretion to make changes to the leg of those who died. But, we don't allow it. This is because in the PKPU rules it is stipulated that the deadline for substitution of the leg can be done on 13 must be done after DCS is issued, namely 21 October 2023. Well, if that goes through, there should be no change," explained Zuriyati. The status of the UN legislators who died for the VIII electoral district, was that they did not meet the requirements, aka TMS. Where, the legislators on the UN DCT list still do not change their serial number. "So, there are indeed changes to the decree that we have made. But not to change the serial number, let alone to replace the person concerned with a new leg," said Zuriyati. After the announcement, the KPU opened up opportunities for the public to provide responses and input on the names of the legislators included in the DCT. Technically, the response and input of the names of the DPR RI legislators can be submitted to the Indonesian KPU. Meanwhile, reports related to the names of the provincial DPRD baulaleg were reported to the provincial KPU. Likewise, the names of the district/city DPRD baulaleg were sent to their respective district/city KPUs. Later, the response and input will be processed, including forwarded to political parties as parties registering the legislative review of the DPR RI and the provincial or district/city DPRD. "We are stepping in to read or respond to responses and notes of input from the public. We will confirm that we will clarify the political parties," said Zuriyati. "The public's response, for example, is that the legislative leg is still a former prisoner, the community has room to provide feedback. Including, if the leg also dies," he continued. He mentioned that the total Bacapleg 933 people consisted of 608 men and 325 women. Of the 932 baulaleg continued Zuriyati, so far there have been three people who have attached a decree for their resignation as ASN during their registration. However, until before DCT, the decree for permanent dismissal required a signature from the President. "The three baulalegs come from Perindo, PKS and PPP and they have attached the Decree of Resignation as ASN, but what is not yet a Decree on Dismissal from the President. This is what we are waiting for and we give time up to one month after the DCT announcement. Why is that, this is because we understand, their mechanisms and positions at the time of dismissal are echelon 2 and 3 officials who cannot be fast but there is a process that must be passed," explained Zuriyati. Alluding to the continued plenary session of the DCT 2024 General Election. He added that the implementation would be carried out today. However, the implementation time will be carried out after the NTB KPU attended the activities of the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR, DPD and Commission II of the DPR RI in the Senggigi area, West Lombok. "What is certain is that representatives of political parties participating in the 2024 General Election are required to first fill out the attendance list at the NTB KPU office. Later, technically we will invite party representatives to continue the plenary meeting. The point is that today, we can finish it in the afternoon or at night," he said.
