Prabowo Visits Erick Thohir's Residence, Gerindra: Discussing Recent Politics

JAKARTA - The daily chairman of the Gerindra Party DPP, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, said that his party welcomed the meeting of the presidential candidate for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto with SOE Minister Erick Thohir at his residence in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta.

According to Dasco, the Prabowo-Erick meeting was a meeting of two friends who had been held for a long time.

"I've met many times. So I think this meeting is the same as the previous meeting. Friends are used to it, right?," Dasco told reporters, Tuesday, October 31.

Regarding the points of discussion of the Prabowo-Erick meeting, the Deputy Speaker of the DPR admitted that he did not know. But what is certain, said Dasco, is that if you talk about politics, the discussion must be things that are developing lately.

"Oh, I don't know about what is being discussed yet, but yes, usually, it's definitely a matter of which politics must be updated at this time," said Dasco.

Touching on the invitation to the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Dasco said that since the beginning Erick Thohir had been in the winning team of the pair promoted by the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM).

"Well, we don't need to invite Mr. Erick, because Mr. Erick has been together from the start. Participating in designing all kinds of things, he is not an outside person," said Dasco.

Previously, the General Chairperson of the Gerindra Party as well as the presidential candidate for the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto met with SOE Minister Erick Thohir at his residence, Menteng area, Central Jakarta, on Tuesday afternoon, October 31.

The meeting was known through Prabowo's upload on his personal Instagram account. The former Danjen Kopassus admitted that he was happy and thanked Erick Thohir for being well received by Erick Thohir.

"Thank you, Mas ET and family for the lunch," Prabowo wrote.
