Twitter Founder Jack Dorsey Believes Bitcoin Adoption Will Continue To Grow

JAKARTA - During the 2023 Indonesia Bitcoin Conference in Sanur, Bali, the founder of Twitter as well as the Chairman of Block Inch, Jack Dorsey expressed his belief that Bitcoin adoption will continue to grow.

The use of Bitcoin will continue to grow. Like a NOSTR, where I believe that Bitcoin technology and communities have made developments to continue," Dorsey said in a release.

According to him, although most countries in the West already use Bitcoin as a means of payment and investment, basically Bitcoin will be a necessity for people in the Southern hemisphere as well.

"Among them are Costa Rica, Argentina, and include on other continents such as Nigeria, Kenya in Africa and other countries experiencing hyperinflation," added Dorsey.

In line with Dorsey, former Trade Minister Gita Wirjawan also emphasized his optimism for blockchain technology opportunities for non-economic transactions in Indonesia.

Gita also projects that in the future Bitcoin adoption will be even higher. This fact is drawn from the increasing adoption of the internet in recent decades, which is above 50 percent per year.

But for Bitcoin, its adoption increase is above 100 percent per year in the last fourteen years. This is very promising and there is no sign that Bitcoin will slow down," he said.
