Cak Imin Tells The Story Of Himself And Anies Both Suffered, He Says Rejecting Success Leaders

JAKARTA - The vice presidential candidate (cawapres) for the coalition of change Muhaimin Iskandar believes that successful leaders are figures who have experienced suffering in their lifetimes.

In the national oration during the Regional Coordination Meeting (Rakorda) of the DKI Jakarta Muhammadiyah Student Association, Muhaimin said leaders with an experience of ideas to life struggles will be able to lead Indonesia as a large, wide and rich country.

"I am one of the most confident people that a successful leader is a leader who has suffered," said Muhaimin at the Muhammadiyah Da'wah building, Jakarta, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 27.

The chairman of the National Awakening Party (PKB) stated that he was suitable for a duet with the future presidential candidate (candidate) Anies Baswedan.

He admitted that he had asked Anies whether the former governor of DKI Jakarta had suffered in his life.

"Mas Anies said I had lived with suffering. Suffered, above suffered, above suffered, and suffered a lot, his name was suffering," said Muhaimin.

Muhaimin told that the toughest moment in Anies' life was when he was studying in the United States.

At that time, he continued, Anies worked side by side in the laboratory because the scholarships he received were not enough to finance his education while in Uncle Sam's country.

"He has to pay for his studies by working in the laboratory, feeding the caterpillars of the lab materials. One day 1,500 caterpillars, one by one and if you can, this is the heaviest suffering he feels," said Muhaimin.

In his national oration, he is happy to have the opportunity to share ideas, ideals, and tasks to organize the future with young activists.

Muhaimin also emphasized that Indonesia should not be allowed to run without a clear direction.

"We must not allow this country to run without a clear direction and the only ones who are entitled and can be trusted to lead this country are activists like all of you," he said.
