Anies Baswedan Welcomes Din Syamsudin's Support

BOGOR - Will presidential candidate Anies Baswedan welcome the support of former chairman of the Muhammadiyah Central Executive Board (PP) Din Syamsuddin to support himself and Muhaimin Iskandar as candidates for the presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 presidential election.

Anies pun has offered Din Syamsuddin to join the Anies-Muhaimin winning team.

"We'll see (the availability of Din Syamsuddin), but I would like to thank you for your trust and support. We continue to communicate with him," said Anies on the sidelines of his visit at the Al Falak Islamic Boarding School, Bogor City, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Friday, October 27.

Anies believes that Din Syamsudikan's support will increase his enthusiasm for him to fight for Indonesia's change in the 2024 General Election.

"God willing, with this encouragement and support, we will get additional fighting spirit going forward," said Anies.

Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar was carried by the Change Coalition, which consists of the NasDem Party, the National Awakening Party (PKB), and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS). Din Syamsuddin stated that he supports PKS who helped carry Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.

When visiting the PKS DPP office, Din Syamsuddin supported the party to carry the pair of candidates for president and vice president, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar.

"We also express our full appreciation and support for the PKS political ijtihad, to propose Anies Baswedan and Muhaimin Iskandar. We consider this choice to be appropriate and ideal," said Din in Jakarta, Thursday.

The arrival of Din together with a number of leaders and leaders of Islamic organizations at the central level to the PKS Headquarters is to stay in touch because of fellow Islamic, social and political organizations.

He emphasized that it is necessary to stay in touch and collaborate for the benefit of Muslims and the Indonesian nation as a whole.

In addition, Din assessed that PKS was proven to be a political party that was consistently committed to Islamic and national values and upholded unity among the nation's children.

Din hopes that the collaboration between PKS and fellow Islamic organizations can be further improved, to make a positive contribution to the progress of the nation.
