JAKARTA - The Honorary Council of the Constitutional Court (MKMK), whose three members have been inaugurated, is scheduled to hold the inaugural trial for alleged violations of the constitutional judge's code of ethics in case decision Number 90/PUU-XXI/2023, Thursday (26/10).

MKMK member Jimly Asshiddiqie after the inauguration of MKMK members at the Constitutional Court building, said the inaugural trial would be opened to the public by summoning 10 reporters.

"There will be a first trial, summoning 10 reporters," said Jimly, who will be chairman of the assembly at the hearing, as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 24.

Jimly said the MKMK trial for the reporter was opened to the public, while the trial for the reported party would be held behind closed doors.

"We just make it open, except for the reported party," continued Jimly, who is also a member of the DPD.

Jimly invited the reporters to bring experts to the trial. In addition, he also invited if there were still people who wanted to submit reports.

Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Anwar Usman appointed three members of the MKMK, namely Wahiduddin Adams from the elements of constitutional judges, Jimly Asshiddiqie from elements of community leaders, and Bintan R. Saragih from academic elements with legal backgrounds.

The three MKMK members were determined based on Decree (SK) Number 10 of 2023 concerning the Establishment and Membership of the MKMK in 2023 dated 23 October 2023. All three will work for one month, from 24 October to 24 November 2023.
