JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Firli Bahuri has fulfilled the summons for examination as a witness in the alleged extortion case against former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo at Bareskrim Polri.

According to VOI monitoring, Firli Bahuri was present at around 09.40 WIB. However, the figure of the KPK chairman was invisible. Because, it is possible that he went through the Rupatama Building, which is the access of Polri officials.

However, there was a black Camry car with police number B 1990 RFP parked and two people who might be Firli Bahuri's aide.

Director of the Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak who was confirmed regarding Firli Bahuri's presence also confirmed it. However, it was not explained about the timing of the presence of the KPK chairman in detail.

"Already (Firli was present)," said Ade.

Firli Bahuri was originally asked for an examination process against him regarding the alleged extortion of former Minister of Agriculture Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes at Bareskrim Polri.

In the summons for examination, Firli was originally scheduled to provide information at the Polda Metro Jaya, on Tuesday, October 24.

"The chairman of the KPK RI, brother FB, asked for an examination at the Bareskrim Polri office," said Ade.

With the consideration of the interests of the investigation, Firli Bahuri's request was granted. Sehigga, the chairman of the KPK will take his statement as a witness at the Directorate of Corruption Crimes (Dittipikor) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Unit at around 10.00 WIB.

The request was agreed because Dittipikor was also involved in handling the alleged extortion case as an assistance team.

"Investigators who will conduct an examination of FB as the Chairman of the Indonesian KPK are joint investigators, namely the Corruption Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya and the Dittipidkor Bareskrim Polri," said Ade.
