The Attorney General's Office Reveals The Mode Of Tin Corruption In Bangka Belitung

JAKARTA - The Attorney General's Office (AGO) revealed the tin corruption mode in the Bangka Belitung Islands (Babel) which is detrimental to the country and society in the province producing the second largest tin ore in the world.

"Currently, there are two tin corruption modes that are being handled by the AGO," said the Director of Extraordinary Legal Efforts for Execution and Examination of the Attorney General's Office, Law on Mugopal, when opening the National Webinar online in Pangkalpinang, Babel, Monday, October 23, confiscated by Antara.

He said the National Webinar activity with the theme Behind the RKAB tin jor-joran and the disclosure of the SDA corruption" held by the Babel Resources Institute (BRinTS) was a step to eradicate corruption in tin ore mining in the Babylon Islands.

"Currently, the AGO is handling allegations of corruption in tin mining in two clusters, namely the BUMN cluster and the local government cluster," he said.

He said there were a number of modes of corruption in the mining sector, namely criminal acts of mining without a permit, submitting data on false information reports, carrying out production operations at the exploration stage, transferring permits to other people so that criminal acts do not reclamation and post-mining.

In addition to this mode, corruption cases in the mining sector detected include bribes or gratuities in mining business permits, illegal use of forests for mining, no renegotiation of added value in the form of processing and refining of mineral and coal mining products.

The manipulation of export data so that it affects state PNBP, irregularities in the Domestic market Obligatory (DMO), licensing is not delegated to the central government, fictitious, convoluted technical recommendations, only as a formality to the mining mafia against illegal mining backings without a permit.

"This RKAB is one of the modes that are being conveyed that are being handled. It is as if this RKAB is in accordance with procedures and investigators find a mode of corruption in the management of the RKAB," he said.

BRinST Director Teddy Mabinanda said that the issue of tin mining in Bangka Belitung needs serious attention and his party appreciates the Attorney General's Office going down the mountain conducting investigations and investigating corruption cases of tin mining.
