KPU Verifies AMIN Document Administration And Ganjar-Mahfud Starting Tomorrow

Chairman of the General Elections Commission (KPU) Hasyim Asy'ari said that the administrative verification of the documents for the requirements of the two pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates who will register with the KPU starting Friday (20/10).

The results of the series of verifications, said Hasyim, were announced on November 13, 2023, when the KPU determined that the presidential/vice-presidential candidate pair would participate in the 2024 Presidential/Vice Presidential Election (Pilpres).

"Tomorrow, administrative verification will begin," said the KPU chairman, quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, October 19.

Hasyim explained the administrative verification, including checking the truth and validity of the documents for the requirements for the candidate pair (paslon) to the Indonesian KPU, either directly or through the KPU Candidacy Information System (Silon).

"It is true, it means that the document is correct, and it is valid that the document was made or formed by an institution that has the authority to issue the document," said Hasyim Asy'ari.

The KPU received registrations from two prospective candidate pairs, namely Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud Md. The two pairs registered as candidates for president and vice president at the Indonesian KPU on the first day of registration was opened by the KPU, Thursday.

The KPU in each registration session announced that the files of the two candidate pairs were complete because before they registered directly with the KPU, the inspection team had checked the required documents they uploaded to the KPU Silon.

"Indeed, we already knew at the beginning because it had been uploaded via Silon so we were able to state that the candidate pairs registered today have completed the required documents," said Hasyim.

Registration for presidential and vice presidential candidates from 19 to 25 October 2023. The next stage is after registration, among others, administrative verification and health tests.

After receiving the registration documents for two prospective pairs, the KPU scheduled a medical test for Anies-Muhaimin on Saturday (21/10) and Ganjar-Mahfud on Sunday (22/10).
