JAKARTA - Candidate for president (candidate) Ganjar Pranowo alluded to self-control when he was elected president in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres).

Hal tersebut disampaikan untuk menanggapi pertanyaan dari salah satu anak muda dalam acara 'Deklarasi Capres-Cawapres Ganjar Pranowo dan Mahfud MD' pada Rabu, 18 Oktober. Ganjar saat itu ditanya soal kesempatan memberikan 'karpet merah' pada Alam Ganjar yang merupakan anak tunggalnya.

"I might only give him a red shirt," said Ganjar jokingly when answering questions at an event held at the National Archives Building of the Republic of Indonesia, Jakarta.

Ganjar then said holding power was full of temptation. "So we must have self-control and know ourselves," he said.

He is of the view that every young man should have the same opportunity. It doesn't matter if he is the son of the regional head or the president.

Therefore, in the future Ganjar will pay attention to educational facilities. "Later on, then anyone can become anything through a fair route," he said.

"I don't want his son to lose to Alam, because he is the president's son. I don't want his son to lose to the regent's son, I don't want my son to lose to the governor's son or anyone else," continued Ganjar.

However, this white-haired figure assesses that equality cannot be done alone. All parties must help him if elected.

"That's why it's important for friends to come and then give me advice, criticism, control. Because everything needs a process," concluded Ganjar.
