Police Make Sure The Finding Of A Blue Suitcase At Wirobrajan Yogyakarta Is Not A Bomb

Yogyakarta City Police (Polresta) confirmed that a suspicious object in the form of a suitcase found by residents on Jalan Patangpuluhan, Wirobrajan, Yogyakarta, Wednesday, October 18, was not a bomb.

"There is no series of bombs that are expected by the public," said Yogyakarta City Police Chief (Polresta), Police Commissioner Saiful Anwar, in Yogyakarta, Wednesday, October 18, confiscated by Antara.

Previously, residents found a blue suitcase with an open zipper on Jalan Patangpuluhan, RT 06/RW01, Patangpuluhan, Wirobrajan on Wednesday afternoon, October 18.

After receiving reports from residents, officers then went to the location and then installed a police line to secure the scene of the case.

The Yogyakarta Police Satreskrim Identification Unit together with the Gegana Satbrimobda DIY Team handled the suspicious object.

He said the contents of the suitcase included a pipe that was wrapped in a cable but he emphasized that the object had absolutely no element related to the bomb.

He stated that his staff are still investigating and investigating who placed the object, including the motive.

"At this time we cannot confirm, because it is still in the process of being investigated," he said.
