Tanjungbalai Police Arrest Mother And Child Seller Of Methamphetamine

The Tanjungbalai Police, North Sumatra (North Sumatra) arrested a mother with the initials PS (55) and her son MPR (31) who were suspected of selling methamphetamine on Jalan Aman, Tanjungbalai City, North Sumatra.

"Previously, the police received information from the public that there were about 30 to 40 people suspected of buying methamphetamine at that location," said Head of Public Relations of the Tanjungbalai Police, AKP Ahmad Dahlan Panjaitan, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 17.

From this information, he said, on October 13, a joint team consisting of the Tanjungbalai Police, BNNK, Satpol PP and the head of the local neighborhood carried out a raid on Jalan Aman, Tanjungbalai City, North Sumatra.

"When conducting a search at the location suspected of storing the methamphetamine, it turned out that evidence of methamphetamine was found and secured the MPR and PS," said Ahmad Dahlan.

The evidence that was secured was transparent plastic clips suspected of containing methamphetamine with a gross weight of 3.56 grams, one plastic containing methamphetamine weighing 0.22 grams, electric scales, a set of methamphetamine suction devices connected to pyroxes and methamphetamine with a gross weight of 1.44 grams.

"In addition, during a search of the PS body carried out by the Tanjungbalai Policewomen, a wallet containing suspected methamphetamine was found with a gross weight of 0.33 grams, transparent plastic, electric scales and others," he said.

The MPR and PS suspects were taken to the Tanjungbalai Police Station for further investigation. From the results of the interrogation, he said the evidence was obtained from a man who was still in the chase stage for personnel (investigation/investigation).

"Against the suspects, the mother and child were charged with Article 114 paragraph (1) subsidiary to Article 112 (1) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning narcotics in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code," he said.
