JAKARTA - Perum Produksi Film Negara (PDN) officially changed its form to the company after the deed of establishment of PT Film Negara (Persero) was officially signed today, Thursday, October 12. Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) had signed Government Regulation (PP) Number 42 of 2023 concerning Amendments to the Form of a Public Company Legal Entity (Perum) for State Film Production into a Company (Persero). "We are very grateful and proud for the change in the form of PFN's legal entity to PT PFN (Persero)," said PFN Corporate Communication Ihsan Chairiansyah to Antara, Thursday, October 12, quoted by Antara. Ihsan hopes that with this change in the form of a legal entity, PFN can become a strategic partner for film industry players. In addition, his party is also committed to continuing to innovate and improve the quality of Indonesian films and content so that they can compete in the global arena. The change in PFN status from a public company (Perum) to a limited company (PT) is a historic step that will open a new chapter in the Indonesian film industry. PT Film Negara (Persero) is committed to becoming a major actor in supporting the growth of the Indonesian film industry by becoming a film financing company that closely collaborates with production houses, content creators, and acts as part of the syndicated distribution channels for Indonesian films, both at home and abroad.

In this activity, the Supervisory Board and Board of Directors who previously served at Perum PFN were appointed as the Board of Commissioners and Directors of PT PFN (Persero). The PFN Board of Commissioners are Fadjar Hutomo as President Commissioner of PT PFN (Persero) and Rosarita Niken Widiastuti as Commissioner of PT PFN (Persero). Meanwhile, the newly appointed Directors are Dwi Heriyanto B as President Director of PT PFN (Persero) and Sutjiati Eka Tjandrasari as Production Director of PT PFN (Persero). PFN is determined to continue to play a role in strengthening the Indonesian film and content industry ecosystem, as well as developing the Indonesian film industry to a global level.
