PPP Optimistic That Survey Results Are Different If Ganjar Pranowo Gandang Bacawapres Is From Islam

Chairman of the PPP DPP Achmad Baidowi said that Ganjar Pranowo's future presidential candidate (candidate) would cooperate with the figure of a candidate for vice president (cawapres) representing Muslims in the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres). This is at the same time in response to the results of the Indonesia Survey Center (ISC) survey which states that the electability of Prabowo Subianto's candidate candidates outperforms Ganjar Pranowo and Anies Baswedan. "The results are definitely different if Ganjar has determined the figure of the vice presidential candidate," said the man who is familiarly called Awiek in Jakarta, Antara, Tuesday, October 10. He said that it was his party's duty to maximize voters from the Islamic circle to vote for Ganjar Pranowo in the 2024 presidential election. "And if the vice presidential figure (Ganjar assistant) has been determined, the results will be different," he said. According to him, his party will easily invite Muslim voters if the vice presidential candidate Ganjar is from among Islamic groups. "We will point out the figure of the vice presidential candidate," said Awiek. Meanwhile, political analyst at Ipsos Public Affairs Arif Nurul Imam assessed that one way to increase support for Ganjar from among Islamic groups is to cooperate with the vice presidential candidate who is a figure representing Islam. This character, he continued, will potentially increase the support of Islamic groups. "In addition, we must also intensively disseminate information in Islamic groups and show a political stance that Ganjar also has a commitment to the progress of Muslims," said Arif. The reason is, Mahfud MD and Khofifah Indar Parwansa are figures who have roots in Islamic groups, apart from geopolitically strong in East Java. Arif assessed that if Ganjar was paired with Khofifah, it would be quite representative because it would attract carriages of Islamic groups and East Java would have the potential to have multiple supports. "Khofifah will also attract female voters, especially if for example she is the only woman who participates in the contestation in the presidential election," he concluded. From the data presented by ISC, the majority of people with NU backgrounds tend to choose Prabowo Subianto with a percentage of 36.3 percent. Meanwhile, those who chose Ganjar were 32.8 percent and those who chose Anies 26.8 percent. Likewise, for those affiliated with Muhammadiyah organizations, they tend to choose Prabowo Subianto with a score of 34.4 percent. Then those who support Ganjar 24.3 percent, while those who choose Anies 33.1 percent.

For those who claim to be salafi groups, they tend to totally vote for Anies Baswedan with a percentage of 100 percent.
