PekanbarU - Pekanbaru District Attorney (Kejari), Riau Province has again detained a suspect who is the Director of PT Zapin Energi Sejahtera (ZES) related to alleged corruption in the capital investment of PT Bumi Siak Pusako (BSP) in 2016.
Head of the Special Crime Section (Kasi) of the Pekanbaru Kejari, Rionov Oktana Sembiring, said that PT ZES is a subsidiary of PT BSP.
The suspect YA is suspected of having committed riots and was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 as amended and supplemented by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, Jo Article 55 paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code.
"The person concerned is a suspect in the alleged corruption in the construction of the Marine Fuel OIL (MFO) factory sourced from the 2016 PT BSP capital participation fund," Rionov said as quoted by Antara, Tuesday, October 10.
He explained, in 2016 the Regional Owned Enterprise PT BSP approved an investment for the construction of an MFO factory in the Tanjung Buton Settlement Area (KITB) in Siak Regency.

"So that investment in the construction of the MFO factory in KITB Siak has not yet had an Analysis of the Impact of the B3 and non-B3 Waste Environment," explained Rionov.
From the beginning, YA and suspect F, who had been named as suspects, both initiated investment in the construction of the MFO factory. In the end, the construction of the MFO factory at KITB Siak was not carried out.
"Until today, the construction of the MFO factory has never been carried out and investment funds amounting to Rp. 8,175,600,000 have even run out, so it does not provide any benefits to the community at all," he continued.

To speed up the investigation process, YA will be detained for the next 20 days at the Pekanbaru Class I State Detention Center (Rutan). Previously, the Pekanbaru Kejari had also named a suspect with the initials F who was the former Director of PT BSP Zapin related to a similar case, last Monday (2/10).
"Ya diancam dengan pidana penjara lima tahun atau lebih. Dikhawatirkan tersangka melarikan diri, merusakan atau mengalangkan barang bukti atau mengulangi tindak pidana," tukas Rionov.
