PDIP Criticizes PAN Makes Mega Love Playing Slot Gambling During Plenary Session Of DPRD Candidates

JAKARTA - Former PDIP cadre, Cinta Mega, who was caught playing a slot gambling game during the plenary meeting of the DKI Jakarta DPRD has now become a candidate for legislative member of the DKI DPRD in the 2024 election from the National Mandate Party (PAN).

The inclusion of Cinta Mega as a PAN leg was criticized by the chairman of the PDIP faction of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Gembong Warsono.

Gembong assessed that PAN did not prioritize the good regeneration process in choosing candidates for council members. PAN is considered only to see Cinta Mega as a member of the DKI DPRD who already has constituents.

"This indicates that PAN is only pursuing electoral effects. Putting aside, even blinding the consolidation process, the regeneration process that applies in political parties," said Gembong at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Monday, October 9.

According to Gembong, the assistance of political parties (banpol) budgeted by local governments through the APBD should be used for regeneration so that they can produce quality cadres.

"But what happened, today we both witnessed that the electoral effect was still a major factor, to the point of blinding the regeneration process," he quipped.

Gembong emphasized that Cinta Mega, which violates ethics as a member of the DPRD, is no longer worthy of being a representative of the people.

However, Gembong acknowledged that the entry of Cinta Mega as a PAN leg was the right of the party led by Zulkifli Hasan. He also handed over to the public to assess the feasibility of Cinta Mega again running as a candidate for the DKI DPRD.

"We are also concerned when they are on duty, while we both know it really injures the people of Jakarta, then re-nominated. We leave it entirely to the community," he added.

It is known that Cinta Mega was fired from PDIP as of last Monday, August 14. The PDIP DPP will issue a proposal for an interim replacement (PAW) of Cinta Mega with other PDIP cadres who will replace her as a member of the DKI Jakarta DPRD from the PDIP faction.

In the process, PDIP initially sent a letter of proposal for PAW Cinta Mega to the Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD. The chairman of the DPRD then forwarded the PAW letter to the General Election Commission (KPU) for processing.

The replacement was ratified in a plenary meeting after the PAW process was completed. As long as the PAW plenary meeting has not been held, Cinta Mega is still a member of the DKI DPRD.
