Received A Warning Letter, Aceh Provincial Government Promises To Pay Health Arrears Of IDR 761 Billion To BPJS

BANDA ACEH - The Aceh Provincial Government is committed to resolving due arrears to the Health Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS), which currently reaches Rp761 billion.

"Regarding the JKA budget with BPJS, of course the Aceh Government is committed to completion. In particular, the Governor has written to BPJS," said Aceh Provincial Government Spokesperson Muhammad MTA, in Banda Aceh, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, October 4.

BPJS Kesehatan collects the Aceh Government's commitment to find a solution to the 2023 Aceh Health Insurance (JKA) budget certainty within 15 working days.

In his letter, the Acting Governor of Aceh stated that his commitment was quite large. However, it has not been described how much will be paid and the time is.

Muhammad MTA said, on Monday (2/10) yesterday, the Aceh Government together with BPJS Kesehatan had also held a meeting related to the dues, and his party is currently still waiting 15 days after the decline in the results of the 2023 APBA-P facilitation from the Minister of Home Affairs.

MTA said that regarding the discourse, a health insurance contract as of November 1 will be decided on the participation of JKA (Aceh Health Insurance).

"Currently, the 2023 Revised APBA is still under the facilitation of the Ministry of Home Affairs. God willing, everything will be fine," he said.

MTA said that although in 2023 the availability of Aceh fiscals was not able to meet the resolution of BPJS Health. However, it is certain that in the 2024 budget, the Aceh Government will commit to making solving problems with BPJS Health a priority.

"In the discussion of the 2024 APBA which is currently still ongoing in the DPRA, the Aceh Government together with the council also discussed this matter. Where the BPJS 2023 dependents and BPJS 2024 financing will be one of the priority discussions as a form of certainty in carrying out joint commitments," said MTA.
