Pimp For Prostitutes In Sidoarjo Arrested

Sidoarjo City Police, East Java arrested a person with the initials RF who was suspected of committing a criminal act of trafficking in persons or prostitution in Sidoarjo Regency which was offered via application.

Sidoarjo Police Chief Kombes Kusumo Wahyu Bintoro explained that the case was revealed on Monday (25/9) where the perpetrator contacted the victim and conveyed the news that guests wanted to have sex.

"The perpetrator conveyed to the victim in exchange for Rp. 300 thousand. At that moment, the victim was willing," he said, quoted by ANTARA, Tuesday, October 3.

After being willing, the victim was asked to come to the boarding house in the temple area at around 21.30 WIB. Arriving at the location, the perpetrator handed over the money according to the agreement to the victim.

"The victim was immediately ordered to enter the room where there was already the man in it," he said.

He said, in carrying out the action, photos of victims were offered by RF to potential victims via WhatsApp.

"After an agreement was made, the perpetrator charged the victim Rp. 500 thousand in which the perpetrator took part of Rp. 200 thousand while Rp. 300 thousand was given to the victim in exchange for serving guests in the perpetrator's boarding house in Ngampelsari Village, Candi District," he said.

From the perpetrator's confession, his actions offered the victim a new practice of prostitution for the first time to earn additional income.

"For the actions committed by RF, Article 12 of Law no. 21 of 2007 concerning the Eradication of the Crime of Trafficking in Persons with a maximum penalty of 15 years in prison," he said.
