Revitalized, Gibran Wants Balekambang Solo Park To Be A Center For Traditional Arts

Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka will maintain Balekambang Solo Park, Central Java, as a place to be arts and traditional after the revitalization stage which will be completed in the near future, said Head of the Surakarta City Culture and Tourism Office Aryo Widyandoko. Gibran has asked for traditional arts to remain in such tourist attractions. Several traditional art activities held in Balekambang Park, including ketoprak and Ramayana performances. However, Balekambang Park, which before the revitalization had an area of 9.8 hectares, will also be equipped with supporting facilities.Seeing the official website of the Surakarta City Government, several buildings in Balekambang Park, namely Java Innovation Center, performance building or ketoprak building, Balekambang Art House, Arrival Hall, Bale Tirtayasa Area, Gastronomi Park, and pedestrian bridge flying. Related to this, recently his party signed a report on the handover of assets from the Central Java Provincial Government as an extension of Taman Balekambang. "We are currently taking follow-up action, (one alternative, ed.) to be used as a garden. Whether all the buildings are demolished or there are preserved, there are typical buildings there. Tomorrow we will close it," said Gibran, Tuesday, October 3. Alluded to the plan of working with Jatim Park for the development of Balekambang Park, according to him, it will be discussed further. "I have to report to the Secretary of the Regional Secretary to start arranging the plan for future management. So far there is no black above white, so just talk," he said.
