South Sumatra Golkar Reshuffles Faction Structure Gives Candidates A Chance To Prepare

JAKARTA - The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) I of the Golkar Party of South Sulawesi Province has reshuffled the structure of the Golkar faction in the South Sulawesi DPRD to give its candidates the opportunity to prepare themselves to Senayan.

"This is based on a decree (SK) signed by the Chairman of the South Sulawesi Golkar DPD I Dr. Taufan Pawe and secretary Andi Marzuki Wadeng," said South Sulawesi Golkar Deputy Chairman Arfandi Idris in Makassar, quoted from Antara, Saturday, September 30.

According to him, the reshuffle of the organizational structure was due to the chairman of the Golkar faction Andi Hatta Marakarma running as a candidate for DPD RI or senator, so that Rahman Pina who is also the Chairman of Commission E of the South Sulawesi DPRD.

He said Rahman Pina as the new chairman of the Golkar faction would be assisted by Fachruddin Rangga as Secretary and Suwardi Haseng as Deputy Chair.

With the appointment of the new faction chairman, Andi Hatta Marakarma is now a member of the faction including Andi Ina Kartika, Sofyan Syam, John Rende Mangontan, Zulkifli Zain, Arfandi Idris, Andi totaling, Andi Izman Maulana, Andi Ayu Indira and Marthen Rantetondok.

As the applicable provisions, every senator candidate who comes from a political party, must resign as an administrator and become an ordinary member.

"Therefore, the Golkar Party has changed its position so that Mr. Andi Hatta can freely work as a senator candidate," said Arfandi.

He said it was also a form of party attention and assistance so that Andi Hatta did not violate the provisions of the election as stated by the KPU.
