Once Again, Puan 'Goda' Kaesang Can Bring PSI To Support Ganjar Pranowo

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI-P DPP and the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, said that the party bearing the white-nosed bull still opened a communication room considering that politics is still very dynamic ahead of the 2024 presidential election. Including the Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI), Kaesang Pangarep.

"As general chairman (PSI) Mas Kaesang, I hope we can establish communication and meet later to connect perceptions," said Puan after attending the National Police's National Leadership Meeting (KBPP) at the Tribrata Building, South Jakarta, Thursday, September 28.

However, the former Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture was reluctant to explain when the meeting with the youngest son of Indonesian President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) took place. According to Puan, this is still waiting for the technical side of the schedule.

"That's technical, both are busy. Maybe now Mas Kaesang is still preparing to see the internal PSI cadres. So later we will arrange it," said the first woman to serve as Chairman of the Indonesian House of Representatives.

PDIP is open to every party to establish a relationship regardless of their choice in the presidential election, including with PSI. He even invited Kaesang and PSI to join the PDIP to support Ganjar Pranowo's presidential candidate.

"I hope Mas Kaesang can join the PDIP. So if possible, it will be conveyed to Mas Kaesang to together with PDIP to support Mas Ganjar Pranowo," hoped Puan.

Not only with PSI, Puan also said that PDIP is still opening a communication room with other political parties. He said, before the registration of presidential and vice presidential candidates on October 19-25, 2023, all possibilities could occur.

"We'll talk about it again, now everyone is still waiting until October 19 when they enter registration," said Puan.

"That's where the party is officially or who, who then supports which presidential candidate. So we still have time to stay in touch and then make political communication until later towards the 19th," continued the Chairperson of the PDIP Pileg and Presidential Election Winning Team.

Puan then mentioned the discourse of changing the coalition map. As is known, it is currently circulating that the Golkar Party will revoke its support for Presidential Candidate Prabowo Subianto and anchor to the PDIP and PPP coalitions to support Ganjar Pranowo.

"Yes, at this time the Golkar Party is already with Mas Prabowo, so if it is possible to join and support the PDIP presidential candidate, the Golkar Party must withdraw its support from Mas Prabowo and then move to Mas Ganjar," concluded Puan.
