President Jokowi: Don't All Problems In The Regions Be Withdrawn To The Center

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo reminded all parties not to attract all problems that occur in the regions to the central level.

This was conveyed by Jokowi in his remarks at the opening ceremony of the National Jambore Dai in Madani Parmusi Village at Gunung Gede Pangrango National Park, Cibodas, Cianjur, West Java, Tuesday, September 26.

"Don't let the problems that exist, every problem in the area. In that area there are already mayors, already autonomous, given autonomy. There are already governors, given autonomy. Don't all of them be drawn to the center. It should be in working like that," Jokowi said as quoted by ANTARA.

President Jokowi's statement was in response to the statement by the General Chairperson of the Indonesian Muslim Brotherhood PP (Parmusi) Usamah Hisyam which in his report alluded to the land issue that was previously to be given by President Jokowi, but was made difficult at the ministry level.

Jokowi told Usamah he would take care of the problem and said that he did not follow every thing that was there.

"If it's been ordered, it should have been done. We don't follow everything, when we arrive from Sabang to Merauke we (follow). It's impossible to know everything that is called the president, it's impossible," he explained.

The President said Indonesia is a very large country. Jokowi said that he had flown from Aceh to Papua for nine hours and 15 minutes.

"That from London, it can pass seven-eight countries, arriving in Istanbul, Turkey. Nine hours 15 minutes, this country is very large, with a lot of diversity and complexes too," he explained.

Therefore, President Jokowi asked all parties not to immediately easily take every problem in the region to the central level.
