JAKARTA - The West Jakarta Education Office has revoked the Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) Plus two Vocational High School (SMK) students in Kebon Jeruk for being involved in a brawl or fight.
Head of the West Jakarta Region II Education Sub-dept. (Sudindik) and Acting Head of the West Jakarta Region I Education Sub-Department, Junaedi explained, the revocation of the KJP Plus was carried out because the two students were involved in a brawl.
"From us, the Sub-Department must be firm, we impose sanctions on students who are proven to be fighting. This is in accordance with existing regulations that those involved in the brawl, the KJP will be stopped," Junaedi said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, September 25.
Junaedi said that the revocation of the KJP Plus had been approved by the school and submitted according to the mechanism for revocation to the Center for Personal Funding and Education Operations Services (P4OP).
"Alhamdulillah, the school according to the mechanism submitted to P4OP to submit a proposal for revocation. P4OP agreed to withdraw so that the KJP was stopped," said Junaedi.
Junaedi said the revocation of the KJP Plus had been approved by the parents of the student concerned. "The student's parents already understand, accept (the revocation of the KJP)," said Junaedi.
The prohibition for KJP Plus recipients is regulated in Governor Regulation (Pergub) Number 110 of 2021 concerning Social Assistance for Education Costs.
