Bantul Strengthens Tourism Destination Branding Through Symphony Gumuk Pasir

JAKARTA - The Bantul Regency Tourism Office, Yogyakarta Special Region, held an activity entitled Symphony Gumuk Pasir in the Pasir Parangtritis Gumuk area on Sunday as an effort to strengthen the branding of tourism destinations on the southern coast of this area.

"This activity has the main goal of strengthening Bantul tourism branding to the public, especially tourism actors, both individuals and organizations through their natural wealth potential," said Head of the Bantul Tourism Office, Kwintarto Heru Prabowo in Bantul, quoting Antara.

According to him, Bantul has the potential for natural wealth on the southern coast, which incidentally has a very strong attachment to the Mataram Palace. The Pasir Parangtritis Governor is one of the unique ecosystems in the southern part of DIY.

The sand clump in the southern region of Bantul has a barchan type, which is one of the barchan-type sand clumps in Southeast Asia. Because of this uniqueness, the Parangtritis Sand Gumuk is very important to be preserved.

"This is certainly an attraction in itself to be developed and introduced to the general public, one of which is through Symphony Gumuk Pasir activities," he said.

Through this activity, he said, it is hoped that Bantul tourism destinations will remain the top of the mind for tourists.

He said the Symphony Gumuk Pasir activity also aims to improve the positive image of Bantul area tourism, especially coastal areas as a leading tourist destination that is classy to the wider community as a form of support for regional potential development.

In addition, it also aims to increase public awareness of tourism potential in Bantul Regency.

"In addition, it increases the rate of tourist visits to Bantul which at the same time increases the income of local revenue (PAD) from the tourism sector," he said.

The event, which was held in the Geruk Pasir Parangtritis area, served entertainment offerings for tourists, including live music, traditional m dances, fashion shows by Bantul designers who are members of the Dekranasda Bantul National Crafts Council (Regional).
