JAKARTA - Minister of Social Affairs Tri Rismaharini investigated the existence of an orphanage suspected of feeling sorry for foster children in order to get saweran from online broadcasts on social media applications.

This is in response to the rise on social media of a number of accounts on behalf of the orphanage foundation, by displaying the profiles of foster children in order to take pity on the pretext of buying food, nutrition and other necessities.

He explained that the Ministry of Social Affairs had prepared food assistance that could be given to orphanages that needed government assistance.

The assistance is distributed at a quota of IDR 200,000 per person in one month.

According to him, this has been widely socialized, with the target of assistance to people with disabilities, the elderly, orphans, orphans.

In fact, his party has received various requests in various media, including requests in handwritten letters by the elderly.
