Three Days Of KCJB Trial Successfully Transported 4,552 Passengers

JAKARTA - During the three test days from Friday 15 September to Sunday 17 September, the Jakarta Bandung High Speed Train (KCJB) has transported 4,552 passengers either departing from Tegalluar or from Halim Perdanakusuma.

GM Corporate Secretary of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) Eva Chairunisa explained that on September 15, 2023 KCJB carried 1,740 passengers, on September 16, 2023 1,352, and on September 17, 2023, 1,460 passengers were transported from Halim and also Tegalluar.

"Overall, operational trials with the community for the past three days have been running smoothly safely and without obstacles. The public is also very enthusiastic about following the high-speed train journey," Eva said on the sidelines of the KCJB trial, quoted from Antara.

For the three days of the trial period, said Eva, it is prioritized for people affected by the construction of high-speed train routes, media, and influencers. However, on the third day of this trial, independent registration was opened for the general public for the trial period 18-24 September 2023.

"So since Friday it has been open to the community around the route, and the general public has just started today, being able to make orders and very enthusiastic they are very happy. This means that we really appreciate it, meaning that the presence of this fast train has been eagerly awaited by the community," he said.

Every day, said Eva, his party prepares a quota of around 2,000 seats which are divided into four train trips with a quota of 500-550 seats per train series each.

However, regarding the monitoring between those who saw that there were still vacant places during the trial trip, Eva said this because quite a lot of people who had been invited did not come and more came late.

"Therefore, we ask for cooperation to come according to the schedule chosen and determined because many people also want to register but it has run out. We also ask for cooperation to be present at the station no later than an hour before the train trip, because the train quickly cannot wait, everything is on time according to the travel schedule that has been given," he said.

It is known, the fast train drove a maximum of 350 km per hour, and spent about 45 minutes traveling from Tegalluar to Halim with one stop in Padalarang, West Bandung Regency, about two minutes.

PT KCIC revealed that the KCJB trial with passengers was carried out until September 30, 2023 for free, with every day there are four scheduled trips for the Halim - Tegalluar round-trip (PP) train with a schedule:

1. Relations of Halim Station - Tegalluar PP : 09.00 WIB and 14.00 WIB.

2. Tegalluar Station Relations - Halim PP: 09.00 WIB and 14.00 WIB.
