PKS Syuro Council Will Decide Support To Cak Imin This Week

JAKARTA - PKS will soon schedule a meeting of the syuro assembly (MMS) after the visit of the presidential and vice presidential candidates for the Change Coalition for the Association (KPP) Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar or Cak Imin visited the PKS DPP office, Tuesday, September 12.

The plan is that MMS will be held this weekend, which will be followed by making decisions and announcements regarding PKS' support for Cak Imin as Anies' vice presidential candidate.

"The sooner the better. I hope it will run on Friday, God willing, in the near future. Be patient later," said PKS Secretary General Aboe Bakar Alhabsyi to reporters, Wednesday, September 13.

Aboe ensured that the declaration of the vice presidential candidate from PKS would be carried out no later than this Sunday. The reason is, PKS must first collect cadres throughout Indonesia. "The point is between until Sunday and around that. I hope that on Friday it can work," said the member of Commission III of the DPR.

Meanwhile, the Head of the PKS DPP Polhukam Division, Al Muzzammil Yusuf, said that the situation within the party was very conducive regarding the determination of Cak Imin as a vice presidential candidate who would be supported to pair up with Anies.

"If you are asked about the situation and conditions or whether what we report will be positive, yes. What we report is a warm, conducive situation, enjoy until we sing a song as well as the song NU. But if you make sure, I am ahead of the Shura assembly, right, you can't," said Muzzammil, at the DPR building, Jakarta, Wednesday, September 13.

According to Muzzammil, the announcement of the PKS vice presidential candidate will be announced immediately by the syuro assembly after holding a deliberation meeting this week.

"Usually, if the afternoon syuro assembly has been revealed when the results are complete. Or if the morning is finished, it will be announced immediately. Usually invite the media," he said.

However, Muzzammil was reluctant to confirm whether there was a signal of approval for Cak Imin to be supported as a vice presidential candidate or not. He admitted that he was reluctant to precede MMS. He added that the announcement of the results of the meeting would be announced immediately by the Chairman of the PKS Syuro Council, Salim Segaf.
