231 Thousand Central Lombok Residents Need Clean Water, The Worst In Semoyang Village

A total of 231,000 residents in six sub-districts in Central Lombok Regency were affected by drought due to the dry dry dry dry dry season 2023.

"The number of residents affected by drought in Central Lombok is 231,622 people," said Head of the Central Lombok Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), H Ridwan Ma'ruf in Praya, Wednesday, September 13, as reported by Antara.

Residents affected by drought in the six sub-districts, namely in East Praya District, the total number affected was 33,119 families, Praya Tengah 33,533 families, Praya 3,210 families, Praya Barat 42,160 families were affected, Pujut 56,140 and Jonggat District as many as 24,424 families.

"Of the 12 sub-districts, those affected by the drought are in six sub-districts," he said.

With these conditions, his party has issued drought alert status in Central Lombok Regency until September 2023 for East Praya, Praya Tengah, Praya, Praya Barat, Pujut, and Jonggat sub-districts.

"It's just the worst thing, namely East Praya. When viewed from the request for clean water every day," he said.

Untuk di Praya Timur, desa yang terparah adalah Semoyang. Bahkan di desa tersebut sudah 20 tangki air bersalur yang disalurkan yang tersebar di 10 hamlet.

Then followed, in Kidang Village 10 tanks of clean water in six hamlets. Furthermore, in Labulia village, there are 6 tanks in six hamlets and 4 tanks in four hamlets.

"The point is that so far we have distributed 52 tanks of clean water in six sub-districts," he said.

So far, the stock of clean water in Central Lombok is still safe, even though the clean water quota according to the budget is only 100 tanks. Even if later, the stock of clean water has run out, he hopes that there will be assistance from other stakeholders.

"Indeed, so far people have received clean water from other agencies, such as PDAM, NTB Bank, BWS, TNI, Polri and Central Lombok Social Service," he said.
