PDIP Reveals The Contents Of Ridwan Kamil-Megawati's Closed Meeting

PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto confirmed that former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil met with PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri recently. The meeting was said to discuss several things, including the construction of the monument to the First President of the Republic of Indonesia Soekarno or Bung Karno.

"It was discussed about the construction of several monuments related to Bung Karno. Pak Ridwan Kamil has launched Bung Karno's struggle in the city of Bandung through the formation of the PNI on July 4, 1927, then the monument when Bung Karno was detained in prison in Banceuy," said Hasto in the Senen area, Central Jakarta, Saturday, September 9.

Even so, Hasto admitted that he was not in the room several times because he had to do several things. So, he did not want to explain in detail whether there was a discussion about the vice president.

He only praised Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil who he judged as a leader who was aware of history.

"We appreciate of course for a program to build awareness of the Red Jas for Bung Karno's struggle as the Proclaimer and Father of the Indonesian Nation," he explained.

Meanwhile, regarding Emil's opportunity to accompany Ganjar as a vice presidential candidate, Hasto said his decision was in the hands of supporting parties, namely PDIP, PPP, Hanura, and Perindo. Not only that, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) will also be asked to provide input.

Megawati, continued Hasto, will discuss with President Jokowi. The names of the candidates for representatives accompanying Ganjar have now narrowed to five, namely Sandiaga Uno, Mahfud MD, Ridwan Kamil, Erick Thohir, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY).

"Well, so that the names that are perceived positively by the people, of course, the PDI-P is proactive in conducting in-depth studies of these names," he concluded.
