Freddy Simangunsong, husband of Labuhanbatu Deputy Regent Ellya Rosa Siregar was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Labuhanbatu Police, North Sumatra (Sumut) Thursday, August 31. Freddy was arrested for allegedly committing sexual abuse against his own nephew with the initials SF (16).Freddy Simangunsong was reported by SF's parents to the Labuhanbatu Police Headquarters in mid-August 2023 yesterday. The alleged molestation case occurred in early July 2023. Freddy Simangunsong entered the victim's room who lived in his house on July 5, 2023 at around 01.00 WIB in the morning. In that room, Freddy carried out an obscenity against the victim. On the report, the Labuhanbatu Police Satreskrim team then conducted an investigation and arrested Freddy Simangunsong at his home in the Labuhanbatu area without a fight, Thursday afternoon. Head of the North Sumatra Police Renakta Sub-Directorate, AKBP Feriana Gultom said his party was taking over the handling of the alleged molestation case. Currently, suspect Freddy Simangunsong has been brought to the North Sumatra Police Headquarters.
