JAKARTA - The Democratic Party will hold a series of events for the Anniversary and National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) in mid-September. Currently, the party chaired by Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) is discussing the question of invitations to coalition partners in the Change Coalition for Unity (KPP), NasDem and PKS. Responding to the Democratic Party's invitation, the NasDem Party confirmed that the General Chairperson of Surya Paloh would miss the party's anniversary with the mercy symbol. This is because Surya Paloh plans to go abroad from September 4 to 22. It is known that the Democratic Party Rapimnas will be held from September 13-14, 2023. "I can't (come), Babe I (Surya Paloh, ed) from 4 to 22 I can't attend," said NasDem Party General Treasurer Ahmad Sahroni when met at the Senayan Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 31. Sahroni denied Surya Paloh would be in America in the near future. He said Surya would go to London, England. "Not to America. To London," he said. Meanwhile, Chairman of the Honorary Council of Democrats Hinca Pandjaitan, said his party was still discussing a series of events that would start on September 9 at the same time as the birthday of the Chairman of the Upper House of the Democratic Party Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY). He also asked the public to wait for who would attend the event. "We are still discussing it, it is still being designed by the committee. Later in time we will announce who is present, how the current activities are still in the process of the final meetings of all these activities. Wait, let there be a surprise. Just wait later," Hinca told reporters, Thursday, August 31. Currently, said Hinca, the committee is still finalizing the anniversary event which will continue with the Democratic Rapimnas event.
