BANJARBARU - The Banjarbaru City Police, South Kalimantan Police, confiscated 3.71 kilograms of methamphetamine or equivalent to an effort to save 15,420 people from using the prohibited goods. "The amount of methamphetamine seized from the narcotics trafficking network was 3.71 kilograms," said Banjarbaru Police Chief AKBP Dody Harza Kusumah in Banjarbaru City, quoted from Antara, Wednesday, August 30. Accompanied by the Head of Ops, Kompol Indra Agung Perdana P and Kasat Resnarkoba, Iptu Subroto, the Police Chief explained that the disclosure began with the arrest of suspect FR last Saturday by confiscating 15.02 grams of crystal methamphetamine. The suspect's confession was that the methamphetamine was obtained from SM (38) until the officers followed up on the information by deploying Drug Investigation Unit personnel to SM's residence to look for other evidence (22/8). In addition to securing FR and SM, officers also arrested the US suspect who acted as the guard of the house where the goods were stored in the housing complex of Kertak Hanyar District, Banjar Regency. "We are still developing the case until we can dismantle the network on it. The confession of the suspect SM, only received goods from other people and was told to distribute it," said the Police Chief. According to the Police Chief, the suspect SM was a recidivist of the same case circulating methamphetamine-type drugs and was arrested by Cempaka Banjarbaru Police personnel with a sentence of 2 years in prison. Dody said the suspects were subject to Article 114 paragraph (2) sub-article 112 paragraph (2) of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics and Article 84 paragraph (2) of the KHUP with a maximum threat of the death penalty. "They are a network of shabu-shabu dealers so they can be subject to articles with the maximum threat of the death penalty. We hope that the development of the case can be greater," said Dody. According to the suspect SM, the evidence of methamphetamine reached 3.71 kilograms, originating from other people who entrusted it and asked him to distribute it in the Banjarbaru and Banjar districts.

"I was entrusted with the methamphetamine and stored it in a rented house while waiting for information to be spread anywhere, but the area is in Banjarbaru and Banjar Regency," he said.
