Judge Rejects Pretrial To Terminate Menpora Dito Investigation In 4G BTS Corruption Case

JAKARTA - The South Jakarta District Court (PN) rejected a pretrial lawsuit related to the alleged termination of the investigation of the Minister of Youth and Sports (Menpora) Dito Ariotedjo in the 4G Kominfo BTS corruption case.

This lawsuit was filed by the Indonesian Law Enforcement, Supervisory, and Enforcement Agency (LP3HI). With the defendant, the Attorney General's Office (AGO) and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

"To try, in the main case rejects the defendant's pretrial in its entirety," said Tunggal Judge Hendra Utama Sutardodo during a trial at the South Jakarta District Court, Monday, August 29.

The pretrial lawsuit was rejected because there has been no termination of the investigation into the alleged corruption case.

Especially the handling at the AGO. Currently, the investigation process is still developing. Witness examination continues.

In fact, there are already six suspects who have entered the trial stage, one of whom is former Minister of Communication and Information Johnny G Plate.

Meanwhile, for the KPK which was also the defendant, the judge assessed that until now the anti-corruption agency continues to coordinate with the Attorney General's Office regarding the alleged 4G BTS corruption case.

"The Respondent has not yet terminated the investigation. Based on the considerations above all the Petitioners are baseless because they must be completely rejected," said judge Hendra.

Meanwhile, LP3HI sued the AGO and the KPK regarding the alleged termination of the investigation against Menpora Dito Ariotedjo. The lawsuit is registered with case number 79/Pid.Pra/2023/PN JKT.SEL

Dito Ariotedjo was originally questioned by the AGO regarding his alleged involvement in the 4G BTS corruption case and supporting infrastructure 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
