Budiman Sudjatmiko Has A Strong Reason To Support Prabowo, According To Megawati's Criteria

PDI-P politician Budiman Sudjatmiko has a strong reason to support Prabowo Subianto as a presidential candidate (readpres) in the 2024 presidential election and he sees the figure of the Minister of Defense in accordance with the criteria of the PDIP Ketum Megawati Soekarnoputri.

Budiman also chose not to back down. According to him, if he chose the option to resign, then he could not provide an explanation for his reasons for supporting Prabowo Subianto.

"I resigned? No. For me, if I withdraw, I don't even have the opportunity to explain what my argument is," Budiman said Monday, August 21.

Budiman emphasized that he had a strong reason to support Prabowo Subianto to become a presidential reading in 2024. In fact, he said, this reason could not be separated from the view of PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri regarding leadership aspects.

According to Budiman, Megawati always talks that Indonesia needs leaders who have strategic views. According to him, the criteria for PDIP leaders in the 2024 presidential election must be like that.

"Well, I see that the qualifications, after I have looked at them with my reasoning, I want to say that the qualifications are from the 3 figures who have existed so far, indeed there are many people in Pak Prabowo's figure," he said.

According to Budiman, the leadership of Ganjar Pranowo's presidential reading does not mean bad or bad. According to him, Ganjar Pranowo has his own leadership characteristics, but what is in accordance with the PDIP criteria for 2024, is Prabowo Subianto.

"So I think, yes, that's my step that may be considered administratively wrong, organizationalally. I am ready to account for it. However, I believe that ideologically and strategically, I am translating the position (view) of Mrs. (Megawati) which was conveyed," he explained.

Budiman further emphasized that he ideologically and strategically did not make mistakes. Therefore, he felt that he did not deserve to resign, even though Budiman was administratively fired from the PDIP.
