Employees Of PT KAI Become Terrorism Suspects, Mahfud MD: BUMN Conceded

Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD opened his voice regarding the arrest of terrorist suspect Dananjaya Erbening alias DE who is a BUMN employee of PT KAI, owner of 16 firearms (senpi). Mahfud said that his party had taken action against terrorism networks in Indonesia. However, he admitted that he did not know where the funding came from.

"Of course we will act on terrorism. We have arrested the terror and the entire network is starting to be sought. Now, if the funds are waiting for the BPK first. Whether it's state funds or community funds that are channeled to it. I don't follow if it's about the funds," said Mahfud MD at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Friday, August 18.

Mahfud emphasized that the government had carried out mitigation of acts of terrorism, and targeted government institutions. But the reality is still conceded.

"Actually, since the beginning of this government, we have announced that a lot of SOEs have been exposed. Many ASNs have also been exposed. Therefore, the government has prepared steps but there is still a broken one like that, it will be repaired again," Mahfud explained.

Mahfud said that SOEs had conceded to supervise their employees, especially in terms of ideology.

"Yes, maybe, from an ideological point of view, yes. Maybe if the professionalism of management may be good but maybe from an ideological point of view the reality is conceded," he said.

Even so, Mahfud did not know that BUMN, especially PT KAI, was still conceded even though they had collaborated with BNPT.

"Yes, I don't know, ask there. Why ask me," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that three unscrupulous members of the National Police were arrested for allegedly suppliers of bullets and firearms (senpi) to KAI employees with the initials DE as well as terrorism suspects. One of them is a member of the Polda Metro Jaya.
