JAKARTA - A motorcyclist named Akbar (21) was entangled in an optical fiber cable that stalked KS Tubun Street, Slipi, Palmerah, West Jakarta. The victim suffered injuries to the neck. The incident began when the victim drove from Pelni Hospital on Jalan KS Tubun, Slipi, on Wednesday, August 9, night. "I didn't realize that there was a cable on the neck," he said. The victim did not realize that he was caught in a fiber optical aerial cable trap. He also pushed his vehicle even though there was a cable attached. "The cable was already down, it was immediately blocked in the neck. Luckily it was braked in the neck," he said. Although he was also a victim of an optical fiber cable that stretched on the road, he did not fall from the motorbike. The victim was still able to control the vehicle.

"The cable stuck in the neck but my position was still sitting on the motorbike and holding the handlebars," he said. According to the information gathered, the fiber optic cable was stretched onto the road after being hit by a container truck that was passing by. Meanwhile, when confirmed by VOI, the Head of Laka Satwil West Jakarta Metro Police had not yet provided a response regarding the accident due to the optic fiber cable that wasinerant. Previously, an accident due to fiber optic cables that stalked also occurred on Jalan Brigadier General Katamso, Palmerah, West Jakarta. A driver with the initials V (38) died as a result of the cable traps. The West Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas) is still handling it.
