Police Arrest Hotel Guests In Tangerang

TANGERANG - Police arrested the perpetrator of extortion at a hotel and nightclub in the Tangerang City area. The arrests were based on reports at the scene.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang City Metro Police, Kompol Rio Mikael Tobing, confirmed the arrest.

"We have secured the results of the reports of the unrest that occurred at the scene. (the number of perpetrators-ed) will be released later, yes," Rio said when confirmed, Wednesday, August 9.

When asked chronologically until the number of arrested perpetrators, Rio was reluctant to answer. He said he would provide more complete details regarding the case when it was released later.

"Later, today it will be released at 13.00 WIB," he said.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of the Indonesian Hotel and Restaurant Association (PHRI) Tangerang City, Oman Jumansyah, appreciated the police for securing the extortionists. He said that if you don't move quickly, it will be a bad complaint for the hotel.

"In principle, we from PHRI appreciate the quick and precise steps taken by the police to arrest extortionists targeting hotel guests. Because if not (fast), this will be a bad assessment for hotel businesses in Tangerang City," he concluded.
