JAKARTA - Don't just bear the name 'Jakarta-Bandung fast train'. If it turns out that later the project work will not be fast or it could be delayed from schedule.

State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) Minister Erick Thohir is well aware that this project has been awaited by many people. In order for all project work to run smoothly, Erick has formed a taskforce team or a special task force team so that the construction of the fast train can properly operate in 2021.

"Our fast train has made a taskforce yesterday, the chairman of PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia-China (KCIC) Chandra Dwiputra directly," said Erick in Jakarta, Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

So this task force will routinely hold important meetings every two weeks. Including discussing the finances that will be held every month.

In the team, there is no hierarchy because the leadership is directly held by the Managing Director of KCIC. So the position of minister and deputy minister is only as a member of the team to accelerate the construction of the train.

"So the Deputy Deputy Minister and I all have no rank. The highest rank is the taskforce leader," said this businessman.

Erick hopes that through the formation of the special task force team it can further facilitate the construction of the Jakarta-Bandung fast train so that it will not be delayed, such as the construction of the MRT and LRT trains.

"As long as we can support things that we can do together, don't let the Jakarta-Bandung fast train delay because we will also connect to Surabaya," he said.

According to him, if the construction of the fast train is delayed, it will have an impact on the opportunity for the community to contribute to accelerating economic growth in Indonesia.

"So if this later delay of all delay, right opportunity to the people of Indonesia can be a place of economic acceleration in the vicinity to be slow," he said.
