Testifying At The Court, Head Of Bandung City Transportation Agency Dadang Darmawan Admitted That He Participated In The Project And Then Received Fee Money

Head of the Bandung City Transportation Agency Dadang Darmawan admitted that he participated in the project in one of the Bandung City Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD) he led.

This was revealed in the follow-up trial of the Bandung Smart City project bribery case in the procurement of CCTV and Internet Service Providers (ISP) at the Bandung Corruption Court.

In the trial with the defendant from the private party who gave the bribe, Dadang initially stated that he was not aware of any fees (fees) requested by other parties for the project to be carried out at the Bandung City Transportation Service.

Dadang also revealed that he had prohibited requests for fees to entrepreneurs in projects that had been tendered since he served as Kadishub in 2023.

"I received a report that there were partners who were asked to contribute five percent of the bill. Then I conveyed that in the meeting forum there should be no more levies related to the disbursement of work at the Bandung City Transportation Agency," Dadang said in his testimony as reported by ANTARA, Monday, August 7.

Hearing such a confession, one of the KPK Public Prosecutors (JPU) Tony Indra then pursued Dadang's statement as outlined in the investigation report (BAP), namely regarding Dadang who also entrusted certain parties in the project work package at the Bandung City Transportation Service.

"So have the witnesses ever deposited a job in the field of witnesses (from the Bandung Transportation Service)?," asked the prosecutor.

"Yes sir," replied Dadang admitting it.

"Just witness the project, try to tell me which company it is," asked the prosecutor.

After apologizing at the trial, Dadang then told that he was indeed asked for help from several private parties so that he could become a partner for the project at the Bandung City Transportation Agency, which he then directed to the Terminal Technical Implementation Unit (UPT).

Dadang admitted that there were four private parties who asked Dadang for "help". Dadang received a total of IDR 25 million from those who had been paid at the beginning before the project was given.

However, Dadang admitted that he did not remember the private sector asking for help, apart from individuals related to him, namely a person named Badriah who gave Rp10 million, Aris Rp5 million, Iip Rp5 million and Rahmat Rp5 million.

"I don't memorize the name of the company, only the person knows, the total money is all Rp. 25 million," said Dadang.
