Looking For The Criminal Elements Of Rocky Gerung's Hate Speech To Jokowi, Polda Metro Perika, A Legal Expert

JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya will ask for information from criminal law experts in investigating cases of alleged hate speech against President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) with reported Rocky Gerung and Refly Harun. The plan is for the inspection process to be carried out on Friday, August 4.

"For criminal law experts, it is scheduled to be clarified on Friday," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation at the Metro Jaya Police, Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak, to VOI, Thursday, August 3.

Information from a criminal expert is needed in investigating this case in order to be one of the references to determine whether or not there was a criminal offense committed by Rocky Gerung and Refly Harun.

Investigators have also asked for information from linguists, ITE, and legal sociology. Including reporters and witnesses.

"To clarify the reporters and the witnesses who were brought or presented by the reporters," he said.

Meanwhile, Polda Metro Jaya has received three police reports (LP) regarding alleged hate speech against President Jokowi with reported Rocky Gerung and Refly Harun. Everything is in the process of being investigated.

"So a total of 3 Police Reports have been handled by the investigation team of the Cyber Sub-Directorate of the Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya," said Ade. Reports against Rocky Gerung started with podcast content broadcast on YouTube Refly Harun. United Indonesia Volunteers assessed Rocky's statement at the event contained elements of insulting Jokowi and unethical.
