Khofifah Guarantees 3 Kg Of Elpiji Stock In East Java Is Safe At A Stable Price

East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa ensured that the 3 kilograms subsidized LPG stock was safe and the price was also stable because Pertamina increased the supply of 1.5 million LPG cylinders for the 27-31 July 2023 period.

"When people find a shortage and the price of 3 kg LPG suddenly jumps in the store, so while I recommend buying at the base because the price is Rp. 16,000 according to HET and the stock is guaranteed to be safe," he said while reviewing bases and LPG agents in Probolinggo Regency and Probolinggo City. reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, August 3.

According to him, the appeal to buy 3 kg LPG gas cylinders at Pertamina's official base is an effort to prevent panic buying in the community because there was information that subsidies wanted to be revoked and there was a tendency for people to buy LPG gas cylinders more than needed.

"Don't play the price because the 3 kg gas cylinder is written for the poor. Let's empathize and maintain the price margin together," he said.

People who buy LPG at the base are officially asked to bring photocopies of Identity Cards (KTP) or Family Cards (KK) because Pertamina will input data for the benefit of updating data.

"Half of July 2023, I visited two cities, namely the City of Surabaya and Batu City. Today I went to the LPG Probolinggo base. The results are safe and there has never been a vacancy here," he said.

Khofifah has coordinated with Pertamina to increase the supply of 1.5 million 3 kg LPG gas cylinders because the coordination aims to monitor supply supply and provide additional stock, which is an additional 30 percent for agents, while for 70 percent for bases.

"I continue to monitor because in August there are so many celebrations of the Republic of Indonesia's Independence Day, so Pertamina must also anticipate it," he said.
