SUKABUMI - The Baros Police Patrol Unit, Sukabumi City Resort arrested seven students who were hanging out and drinking parties around Jalan Proklamasi, Sukabumi City, West Java because they were caught carrying sharp weapons of the type of sickle. "This arrest was made after receiving a report from residents who were worried about the presence of a group of teenagers who were engrossed in drinking liquor in Jayaraksa Village, Baros District on Saturday night," said Baros Police Chief Kompol Heri Hermawan in Sukabumi, Antara, Sunday, July 30. Heri said that his party immediately dispatched officers from the Baros Police Patrol Unit to slide to the location as a follow-up to the report. At the location, the officers immediately recorded and searched the luggage of the students at the equivalent high school level and managed to find a sharp weapon of the type of sickle and one bottle of liquor. With the evidence, the seven teenagers were immediately taken to the Baros Police Headquarters for questioning. From the results of the examination, the sickle belongs to one of the students. "One student is named a suspect because of illegal possession of sharp weapons or not their designation while the other six students are only given guidance and must carry out mandatory reporting and signing no longer doing the same thing," he added. Heri said that a teenager who was caught carrying sharp weapons and liquor was still undergoing the investigation process and was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) of the Emergency Law of the Republic of Indonesia in 1951 with the threat of imprisonment for a maximum of 10 years. On the other hand, anticipating security disturbances and providing a sense of security to his community is intensifying routine patrols in the region to reduce the number of street crimes.

In addition, he also appealed to residents to provide information and report if they see potential disturbances in security and suspicious people in their respective areas so that they can be handled quickly.
