OTT Basarnas Officials, There Is Money Secured By KPK

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) said there were findings of money in a hand arrest operation (OTT) that ensnared officials from the National SAR Agency (Basarnas). The discovery is suspected to be related to the procurement of goods and services.

"Yes, there is (money finding, ed)," said Head of the KPK News Section Ali Fikri to reporters in a written statement, Tuesday, July 25.

The amount of money has not been specified. Ali only said that investigators were still investigating the parties caught in the silent operation.

"Regarding the number, of course, it will still be confirmed first to the parties arrested," he said.

The KPK held a silent operation by capturing a number of parties. Among them are Basarnas officials and the private sector.

The identities of those caught have not been detailed. The anti-corruption commission is still conducting an examination and they have 1x24 hours to announce the suspect and his mode.
