After a working visit to Bengkulu province, President Jokowi invited the Governor of Rohidin Mersyah to a limited meeting to discuss efforts to accelerate regional progress.

"I will be invited in the near future to a limited meeting specifically for Bengkulu with the President. I will submit 3-4 letters. The first is related to the land of the South Bengkulu Regency Government," said Rohidin Mersyah as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, July 21.

The second letter is related to the management of the Baai Island area, the port area in Bengkulu City, which is planned to be built in a national animal quarantine area and has yet to be realized.

"What we once thought about was to build a national animal quarantine area in the area, he asked for it," said Rohidin.

Then the third point, he said, is related to Pertamina Geothermal Energi (PGE), which until now has not been able to operate due to problems with the level of domestic components (TKDN) in its construction.

"Regarding the obligation to use domestic product technology. There is a large agenda that I was asked to prepare for and I will present it directly to the President," said the Governor.

President Joko Widodo made a three-day working visit to Bengkulu Province on July 19-21 July. President Jokowi also visited Kepahiang, Central Bengkulu, Seluma, North Bengkulu and Bengkulu Regencies.

In Bengkulu, President Joko Widodo monitors the condition of a number of hospitals, schools, and traditional markets, and even the President sees the 2023 Bengkulu Festival and inaugurating the Bengkulu-Lubuk Linggau Provincial Toll Road.

The President came with Mrs. Iriana Jokowi accompanied by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno and Minister of Public Works and Public Housing Basuki Hadimuljono.
