7 Firearms and 4 Kg of Marijuana Confiscated for 8 Months Destroyed by Bandar Lampung Prosecutor's Office

LAMPUNG - The Bandar Lampung District Prosecutor's Office (Kejari) destroyed 4 kilograms (kg) of marijuana and 7 firearms (senpi) which were evidence (barbuk) of various crimes.

The Head of the Bandar Lampung District Prosecutor's Office (Kajari), Helmi Hasan, revealed that the evidence was the result of prosecution for about 8 months from 24 December 2022 to 20 July 2023.

"Today we destroy the evidence. More or less we destroyed 4,014,104 grams or 4 kilograms of cannabis," he said in Bandar Lampung, Thursday, July 20, as reported by Antara.

In addition to 7 guns and 4 kg of marijuana, other evidence that was also destroyed included 435,1825 grams of methamphetamine, 347,808 grams of ecstasy, and 287 psychotropic items.

"For evidence of methamphetamine, marijuana, ecstasy, and psychotropics, we destroy them by crushing them using a blender," he said.

Apart from that, several other powders were also destroyed, such as 13 live bullets, cosmetics, herbs, drugs, sharp weapons, cell phones, clothing, and fish bomb explosives.

"So today's evidence is based on the results of the decision that has been made, so we will immediately destroy it. There are also several pieces of evidence that have not been executed because the case is still on appeal," he emphasized.
