Regarding The Mutation Of Doctors At The Mataram Hospital, Academics: Hard Slapping Of Profession

NTB - Lecturer of Library Science and FISIP University, Muhammadiyah Mataram University, Iskandar assessed that the mutation of a doctor at the Mataram City Regional General Hospital (RSUD) into a sickle was a violation of the profession.

He explained, in Law 43 of 2007 article 1 paragraph 8 it is stated that death is someone who has competence obtained through education and/or friendliness training and has the task and responsibility to carry out library management and services.

"So it is clear that you are a person who has expertise in the field of libraries that is obtained through the educational process," said Iskandar.

He stated that for academics who teach in Library and Information Sciences, the mutation case that occurred in Mataram City is an 'insult' to the profession and the existence of a major in Library and Information Science.

"We in the Library Study Program are tired of prospective candidates who have measurable competencies. Suddenly, at will, the government mutates people who are non-characteristic to become criminals without any expertise," he explained.

Therefore, according to him, this kind of incident must be strongly protested because the old paradigm that considers the library a place for throwing away problematic employees must be abandoned.

Because of professions born from a long educational process in the field of libraries. Where graduates of Bachelor of Library Sciences are experts in the field of information that plans, manages, disseminate information to the entire community.

"This profession is very noble because it directly relates to the process of educating the public in accordance with the mandate of the Basic Law," he said.

Previously, a doctor named Dr. I Komang Paramita who served at the Mataram City Hospital, was transferred to become a library staff.

"Suddenly I was transferred to become a staff member in the library. Even though I'm not a liar," said Komang.

He admitted that he was transferred to become a library staff at the Mataram City Hospital from his previous position as Head of the Hospital SIM and Medical Record. The dismissal letter was dated July 3, 2023, but the transfer certificate was handed over to the person concerned by the Head of the Personnel Sub-Division of the Mataram City Hospital dated July 8, 2023.

"So I don't know what the background really is so doctors can be placed as heroes," he said.

Komang said that as a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) he currently holds the rank IV/b with the Level I Trustee group.

In terms of good bureaucratic rules and principles, this mutation is suspected to be incompatible with the rules and principles of good governance.

"This clearly violates the rules and principles of a good and correct government. A doctor should be placed according to his scientific background. In the library, there are already winners who have just been placed. When I was a senior doctor whose rank was IV/b, he was placed as a library staff. This is strange," he said.
