LSI: Prabowo's Electability Consistently Strengthens Since January

JAKARTA - Executive Director of the Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) Djayadi Hanan said the electability of Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto as a future presidential candidate has strengthened consistently from January to July 2023, as recorded in the results of the LSI survey.

"The trend is that there has been a consistent strengthening trend towards Prabowo from January 2023 to July 2023," said Djayadi when presenting the results of the LSI national survey entitled "Meta of the Presidential Election Competition and Public Attitudes on National Issues", reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, July 11.

Djayadi revealed the results of the LSI survey in January 2023 showed that Prabowo received an electability of 23.2 percent. Then, in February 2023, the electability of the general chairman of the Gerindra Party increased to 26.7 percent.

Then, in April 2023, Prabowo's electability will be 30.3 percent and in LSI's latest survey in July 2023 it will reach 35.8 percent or occupy the top position.

"In the simulation of three presidential candidates, Prabowo is 3.6 percent superior to the Governor of Central Java as well as the candidate for PDI-P presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo. Prabowo has 35.8 percent electability and 32.2 percent Ganjar," said Djayadi.

Next, in the third position of the presidential election simulation with three presidential candidates, there was former governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan who received 21.4 percent electability.

The LSI's latest survey was held on July 1-8, 2023, involving 1,242 respondents aged 17 years and over or married and having a cell phone or phone.

The survey was conducted using a telephone interview method with a margin of error of around 2.8 percent at a 95 percent confidence level.
