Prabowo Returns To Meet Jokowi At The Palace, What's Wrong?

JAKARTA - Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto met President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday 10 July afternoon

"Reports," Prabowo said when he arrived at the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, July 10, was confiscated by Antara.

Asked whether his meeting with Jokowi was related to the national political constellation, Prabowo was reluctant to explain in detail. He only briefly answered the meeting with Jokowi regarding reports on defense conditions.

In the past month, President Jokowi and Prabowo have been known to hold meetings.

In a meeting between the two on June 26, 2023, Prabowo revealed that President Jokowi gave a number of directions regarding his duties as minister. However, Prabowo at that time did not deny that there was talk about politics with Jokowi.

"Yes (President Jokowi) asked about my plans in the future and so on," said Prabowo, who is also the General Chair of the Gerindra Party.

Regarding his duties as Minister of Defense, Prabowo on June 26, 2023 reported the results of his visit to Europe and the development of international geopolitical issues.

One of the geopolitical issues that was in the spotlight between Prabowo and President Jokowi at that time was the rapidly changing situation in Ukraine.

He admitted that he would make a more detailed report to Jokowi regarding this matter.

"I think we will follow up on this, so the point is that. The developments we observe so that they do not suddenly and the plans ahead," Prabowo said after the meeting on June 26, 2023.
