Thousand People Participate In Pandawara Cleaning The Dirtiest Beach Number 2 Sukaraja Bandar Lampung, This Is The Mayor's Response

A thousand people from various elements of society participated in the activity of cleaning Sukaraja Beach, Bumi Waras District, Bandar Lampung from piles of garbage.

"I thank the people who have participated in the beach cleaning activities initiated by one of these environmental observers," said Bandar Lampung Mayor Eva Dwiana as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, July 10.

He said that beach cleaning activities on the coast of Bandar Lampung have often been carried out by promoting waste raid programs in rivers and beaches in collaboration with the TNI.

"But, indeed garbage on this beach is sent from other regions. So on certain days and months the garbage will run to the coast here," he said.

According to ANTARA's observation, the cleaning activities of Sukaraja Beach were still ongoing until late afternoon, and the community continued to come and take turns cleaning the area of one of the beaches on the Bandarlampung coast which had been filled with garbage.

Young, old, office workers, service employees, TNI and Polri students, community organizations mingling with local residents to work together to clean up the garbage that was piling up along Sukaraja Beach.

The mayor appreciated the enthusiastic community in helping clean up the garbage that was piling up on the coast of Sukaraja Beach, because this has become a shared responsibility to maintain beach cleanliness.

"This is a form of our togetherness, because it is a shared responsibility. I also hope that the Lampung Provincial Government can jointly think about waste problems on the coast of this city," he said.

One of the residents of Bandar Lampung, Tio Nugroho, said that positive activities like this must often be carried out so that beach cleanliness can be maintained.

"Of course, activities such as not stopping here, and we must also be aware not to throw waste into the beach or river, because it will have an impact on the surrounding ecosystem," he said.

Previously, it went viral on social media, the Pandawara team highlighted one of the beaches in Bandarlampung City, precisely on Jalan Ikan Selar, Sukaraja, Bumi Waras District.

The plan to clean up beach debris, known as the second most impurity in Indonesia by the Pandawara Group, will be carried out on Monday (10/7) at WIB and invite the local community to participate.

The invitation proved to be effective in garnering support and concern from various parties, including officials, the police, the TNI/Polri, community members and various groups who came in droves to participate in cleaning up the garbage on Sukaraja Beach.
