Teachers In Bogor Regency Form A "GM Pro" Organization To Fight For Welfare

BOGOR - A number of teachers in Bogor Regency, West Java, formed a Professional Free Teacher Organization or "GM Pro" to fight for their welfare. "We created a forum so that we can contribute to at least a lot of suggestions about managing quality education," said the Advisory Council of GM Pro, Dadeng Wahyudi, at the launch of the GM Pro at the Bogor Regency DPRD Building, Cibinong, Saturday, July 8. He said, members who are members of the organization are teachers in public schools who are still honorary and have not fulfilled the passing grade. Dameng who is also a Member of Commission IV of the Bogor Regency DPRD revealed that in his area there are still around 1,000 teachers with honorary status who teach at public schools. GM Pro, he said, will also be a forum for developing the quality of honorary teachers so that they can pass through the transfer and become Government Employees with a Work Agreement (PPPK).

"Karena surat Kemenpan RB pada November tahun ini (tenaga) honorer dihilangkan, maka mereka terinspirasi kepada pemerintah untuk segera diangkat menjadi PPPK," kata Dadeng.Ia meyakini, ketika guru-guru di Kabupaten Bogor memiliki kualitas keilmuan yang mumpuni, maka kesejahteraan akan menyertainya, termasuk lolos dalam seleksi menjadi PPPK.Sementara, Sekretaris Dinas Pendidikan (Disdik) Kabupaten Bogor Hartono Anwar di tempat yang sama menjelaskan bahwa setiap guru honorer wajib melalui serangkaian tes yang regulasinya ditetapkan oleh pemerintah pusat untuk menjadi PPPK."Mudah mudahan di tahun ini mereka bisa mengikuti tes dan segera diangkat menjadi PPPK," kata Hartono.Tahun ini, kata dia, Pemerintah Kabupaten Bogor mengajukan ke Kementerian Dalam Negeri (Kemendagri) sebanyak 2.909 formasi PPPK jabatan fungsional guru untuk diangkat tahun 2024.
